Aquarium Family Activity

We had so much fun at the activity that the Mills planned for our association in  August! We went to the aquarium and gathered in one of the party rooms for the first hour and a half for learning and socializing, and, of course, eating! Mmm! Then we all went on a treasure hunt around the aquarium and then we got to have our free time to look at everything.

It was great to meet 2 new families who have just received or are awaiting diagnosis. We had a good turnout (we would still like to see more of you).

I didn't get too many pictures without my kids in there so I found some of a few of the many things we saw at the aquarium.

 Penguins

 Fish (of course)

Poisonous frogs
(don't worry, no one got hurt while taking this picture...)

Yes, that's my kid but the background was so cute I thought I should show you the place for a good photo op. (smile)

We even got to go to a show and see birds, insects and a huge snake!

There was also an octopus, jelly fish, starfish, sting rays, sharks, a sea turtle, sea horses, and all kinds of awesome fish!

If you have any pictures you would like to share email me or leave a comment so I can contact you and put the picture on our blog...

Spring Family picnic was a success!

We had 60 people in attendance. 10 full mutation. 8 carriers. And the rest were friends, family and support.

We relocated the activity to a local church house because of the rain. We couldn't do the horse ride so we brought in the rocking horses! It was still pretty fun for the younger ones.

We had a bean bag toss, coloring center, face painting, a bounce house, lunch and a treat.

It was great to socialize with everyone and not feel alone in our endeavors and challenges.

I hope we continue to get more and more people involved in our association. Pass the word around and let's continue to gain more attendance and more support.

Welcome

This is just the beginning. I will do my best to keep this updated with what may be applicable to our association. I want us to feel linked together so that we can work together for our children, our grandchildren, our neices and nephews.

For this first post it will just be a space filler. I promise some more stuff will be here soon.
